Paula Dean Banana Pudding
My family enjoyed banana pudding for many years, as I am sure many of you also have. I guessed it was time to share the recipe and photographs with you!
When trying out various versions and variants through time, the recipe which adhered will be Paula Deen's Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding. She understands her banana batter, for sure.
Sounds fantastic in a skillet!
I changed the recipe. It's 1 BOWL. Simple to create, easy to wash.
Ingredient Notes
Bananas.
Preferably ones who are still business, as the peanuts will soften much more as it sits at the fridge.
Cookies.
Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies are yummy shortbread biscuits and make a fantastic layering cookiecutter. If you can not find them, butter biscuits or Nilla Wafers will do the job also!
The biscuits soften as they sit, similar to a Chocolate Eclair Cake or even Icebox Cake. They eventually become"cake-like" as well as amazing.
Pudding.
I believe that it intensifies the banana flavor to a tasty level. But, Paula Deen utilizes French Vanilla, and I believe even plain-vanilla will do the job also.
Make certain to use immediate pudding for the best outcomes.
I opted to use Cool Whip for the banana batter, but if you would like to use a homemade whipped cream which will work also. It just may not be stable. When functioning in a trifle bowl, then go for the whipped cream!
Step-by-step Directions
Bottom Layer. Line the base of a 13×9-inch baking dish with one layer of biscuits (it is fine if they overlap slightly). Utilize the strangest 13×9 you have.
Layer sliced bananas on the top. I used six medium-size bananas, and they coated the bottom so that you could not find any biscuits (about two layers values of banana pieces ).
Pudding Filling. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese using sweetened condensed milk. Beat until creamy, without the clumps!
Last Layer. Pour pudding mixture on top of their bananas and top with a layer of biscuits.
Chill. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Enjoy. ENJOY.
Tips and Tricks
Use an electric mixer to find smooth pudding outcomes. For optimum results, permit the banana batter to cool for at least 4 hours; overnight is best!
